According to Mini USA, “exclusive design features on the exterior and interior underscore the British origins, hallmark driving fun, premium character and extrovert appeal that make the new MINI Seven a more exceptional phenomenon in urban traffic than ever before.”
The Seven will have the new Mini hardtop roof along with front-wheel drive and can feature any of the three classic exterior paint options – pepper white, midnight black and British racing green. The new Seven will be available in the Cooper and Cooper S variant, according to Mini.
In addition to the three classic paint colors, the new Seven can also come in the lapisluxury blue which is a non-metallic finish and available in the Mini Yours option. The roof and exterior mirror caps are finished in melting silver and the special edition will have 17-inch light alloy wheels with two-tone color spokes.
Internally, Mini USA said the new Seven central instrument and interior surfaces will be finished in piano black high gloss. The Mini Yours option will feature interior styles of dark cottonwood, fibre alloy and off-white optionally available according to Mini.
The engine will be either the 1.5 liter 3-cylinder for the Cooper or the 2.0 liter 4-cylinder for the Cooper S model. All models of the Seven come with the standard 6-speed manual transmission, but can have the optional 6-speed Steptronic transmission. The Cooper S variants can also come equipped with the 6-speed Steptronic sports transmission.
